The Blessings of GIT

"GIT'er done!" - Bryan Barnes

"Early in October, I left the area of Orosi, California, after having spent seven months there on a farm learning all kinds of spiritual and agricultural awesomeness. The cause of this? I was a student in the Growing In Torah program, directed by Bryan and Karla Barnes, and located at Safe Haven Sustainable Farms.

Throughout those seven months, the Barnes, their wonderful staff, and all the great program instructors taught five students (including myself) about farming and faith from a Hebraic-flavored biblical perspective

The program was more than just academics or hard labor, though. By the end of the first week all of us, staff and students, had become a family tied together by a common faith and purpose. That purpose: walking with Yahweh, the God of Israel, and building his Kingdom by spreading the Gospel to the area we lived in, whether by food or other means of witnessing.
